Add or Edit Locations in Admin Menu > Locations

Enter or edit information associated with a saved location.  Saved locations are reusable and can be selected from a drop down list when adding an event.

All information will be visible in the event detail popup when a user clicks on the event on the calendar.

You can also set options to prevent conflicting events at the location (see below).

Location Name (Required):  Enter the name of the location.  This is required before you can save the location.

Location Address: Enter the address of this location.

Location Contact: Enter the full name of the contact person for this location.

Location Phone: Enter the phone number for this location.

Location Map: Choose to display a link next to the location name in the event detail popup.  When the user clicks on the link, a window will open displaying a map of the location with additional links to directions from any address.

The location map feature requires a sufficient location address (e.g. Street, City, State, Country).  Postal codes are usually sufficient to identify the State and City in the United States.  Be sure to use two letter abbreviations for US States, Canadian Provinces and Countries (see below for tables of abbreviations).

You can test the map prior to saving by clicking on the View Map button.

Location Weather: Choose to display a link next to the location name in the event detail popup.  When the user clicks on the link, a window will open displaying a weather forecast for that location.

Directions To Location: Enter driving or other directions to this location or use the Location Map feature which will also give the user an option to get directions.

Special Instructions and Use Guidelines: Enter any special instructions or guidelines for events to follow at this location. This information will appear in the event popup.

Conflict Prevention Options: You can set options to prevent conflicting events at a location.  Use conflict prevention to prevent double booking of a facility or other location.

Check option A to prevent conflicting events at the location, Check option B to ignore conflicting events in the past when checking for event conflicts.  Option B is recommended to reduce extra work and speed up saving of events.

Click on the “Save” button to save the new location or changes to an existing location or click “Back” to return to the calendar without saving changes.
